| The History The Tanvic Group was founded by Mr Nat Davy in 1970 when the first 'Tanvic Tyre & Service Centre' was opened at Appletongate, Newark to support the then core business, Reg Day & Co Limited, grain and animal feed merchants. |

| From small beginnings supplying tyre and fitting services, Tanvic Tyre & Service Centres have developed steadily with additional branches at Lincoln, Grantham, Corby, Melton, Loughborough, Worksop, Market Harborough and more recently Commercial branches at Newark, Corby, Worksop and Loughborough. Today the business employs 150 staff across its 13 branches and stocks around 15,000 car, van, truck and agricultural tyres. |  |
| In 1998, the Wholesale Tyre Division, 'TS Wholesale' was formed, supplying car and van tyres to retail garages and other fitters within the East Midlands. It soon outgrew its Grantham site, relocating to much larger premises in Newark. With substantial investment in stock and the acquisition of quality staff, the business grew rapidly and additional sites at Corby and Worksop were added in 2002. The Norwich branch, branded “We Sell Tyres (Wholesale)" was added in 2003 and due to its success all branches were rebranded “WST” in 2005. Having outgrown its original home the Norwich branch was relocated to a new 30,000 sq ft site in 2006, followed a year later by Newark branch, who relocated to a 60,000 sq ft unit in Nottingham, much closer to its core market with the objective of again providing the catalyst for growth. The wholesale business today employs over 100 staff across 4 branches and stocks around 150,000 tyres. | |
